Cookie policy

Wendix.nl uses one cookie, and it is purely functional. Read below why.

In short

Wendix.nl uses one cookie, and it is purely functional: it remembers which part of the site you looked at last. Your language choice is not in a cookie but in the web address.

We place no tracking or advertising cookies and do not follow you across other websites. We do count how many people visit the site, but with a service that needs no cookie for it and keeps nothing about you. That is why you see no cookie banner here: purely functional cookies do not require consent.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your computer, tablet or phone. Cookies can be necessary to make a website work properly, but they are also used to follow visitors, for advertising for instance.

Which cookies does wendix.nl use?

Wendix.nl uses only one functional cookie:

The part of the site you looked at last

The site consists of three parts: Mobility and Logistics, Organisational Development and Business Processes and Data. In a cookie named "wendix-spoor" we remember which part you looked at last. That way the menu of that part stays in place when you click through to a page that applies to all three, such as About us or Contact. Otherwise you would have to choose again there. This cookie contains only the name of that part and is kept for at most six months.

No tracking or advertising cookies

Wendix.nl places no tracking or advertising cookies and does not follow you across other websites. That is why you see no cookie banner on this site: purely functional cookies do not require consent.

How we count visits

We do want to know how many people visit the site and which subjects get read. For that we use Simple Analytics, a Dutch service that deliberately works differently from the better known packages: it places no cookie, stores nothing on your device and keeps no personal data. To us you are a visit, not a person, and we cannot recognise you on a later visit or on another website.

What we get back are counts: how many people viewed a page, which theme or project was opened, which website or search engine brought someone here, and which country the visit came from. We use those numbers to see which subjects are alive, so we can shape the site around them.

Deleting cookies

You can always delete cookies yourself through your browser settings. If you delete this cookie, the site will ask you again which part you would like to look at.

Your language choice is not stored in a cookie: you can see it in the web address. The English site sits on addresses beginning with /en, for example wendix.nl/en/contact. That way you can forward or bookmark a page in the language of your choice.

Language of this policy

This is a translation of the Dutch cookie policy, provided for your convenience. In the event of any difference between the two versions, the Dutch text prevails.
