Our mission and vision
We want to help build a society that is better to live in. Better collaboration, better information and shared knowledge make life better for everyone.
A world where people have somewhere good to live and work, and a say in it. Where health, safety and sustainability are the obvious choice. Where citizens are seen, and government works in the interests of the people it serves.
We do our research carefully, with an eye on the organisation around it.
We assess where change is possible and what it would risk, drawing on the existing evidence, on the data already available and on our own fieldwork. We set that against the local and organisational detail that decides whether the change you want will take hold.
We help organisations and public bodies encourage better behaviour and write better policy.
Why we joined forces
Wendix was formed in 2026, when "Dijksterhuis Onderzoek", founded by Chris Dijksterhuis, and "Adesse mediation", founded by Ineke Kikkert, joined forces.
Chris brings a love of research and data visualisation, a sharp analytical eye and a genuine interest in the work his clients do. Ineke is at her best when an organisation wants to sharpen its processes, improve working conditions or clear the air between people.
Data analysis, mobility research, organisational consultancy and mediation look like four different trades. In practice the same thing happens in all of them: the figures are right, and still nothing changes. Research can show the way, but without the right conversations and enough attention to the people involved, the report gathers dust.
We draw on a wide network whenever a question calls for it. Designers, researchers, policy advisers and other specialists who add something we cannot add ourselves.
Between us we make sure research does not stop at a finding, but ends in policy that works, because it is both well evidenced and backed by the people who have to live with it.
Our approach
We shape every study around what you actually need to know.
That may be a thorough survey of where things stand, built from detailed questionnaires, one-to-one interviews or process mapping.
It may be a live dashboard tracking emissions and other measures. And it may be behavioural research: citizen panels, employee experience surveys, exit interviews or travel studies.
Whatever shape the work takes, the aim is the same.

Meet the team
Chris Dijksterhuis
Adviser, Data Analytics and Mobility Behaviour
LinkedIn profilevan Chris DijksterhuisChris is a specialist in data and travel behaviour, with a strong academic grounding and plenty of hands-on experience. Since his degree and his doctorate he has worked on exploring and analysing data, travel behaviour above all.
He has set up and led a wide range of projects and studies, in academic settings (the University of Groningen, Delft University of Technology and Hanze University of Applied Sciences) and in the field, working since 2019 as an independent consultant for public bodies, provincial authorities and business.
What drives him is getting knowledge used inside public bodies and not-for-profits, because those are the organisations with real influence over sustainability, mobility and how people behave.
By turning data into practical answers, Chris helps shape policy and interventions that move things forward. His work combines scientific rigour with a pragmatic eye on results.
Ineke Kikkert
Adviser, Organisational Development, and Mediator
LinkedIn profilevan Ineke KikkertIneke works with individuals and organisations on improving processes, repairing working relationships and helping people stay healthy and engaged at work.
Her focus is on charting and improving how an organisation runs, stripping out waste, and testing whether policy and interventions have the effect they were meant to have.
She brings employees directly into questions about their own organisation and studies how work is experienced, through online surveys and interviews. As a mediator she helps rebuild working relationships, particularly where there is friction between colleagues or where a team has stopped functioning.
Her grounding in behaviour and communication, as a mediator and an occupational psychologist, together with long experience of improvement programmes and Lean Six Sigma, is what lets her build a habit of continuous improvement. Her approach puts professional craft back at the centre and gives people the room to change with the organisation.
Our network
Wendix is small, and we intend to stay that way. When a project calls for more hands, for expertise we do not have in house or for equipment we do not own, we bring in specialists who fit the question.
- IT engineers, to build and connect the dashboards, databases and applications that have to keep working after the project ends.
- Survey and observation firms, for traffic counts with specialist measuring equipment, road condition surveys, and observers on site who see what a sensor misses.
- Fieldwork agencies with their own research panels, to put a questionnaire to a sample that is large enough and looks like the people you need to hear from.
- Lawyers, when a mediation or a workplace question needs legal grounding.
- Designers, policy advisers and other experts, depending on what the question needs.
You still have one point of contact. Wendix stays the contractor: we manage the collaboration and answer for the result.
